A driver has died when his car crashed and caught on fire on a freeway in Perth’s east.
The car crashed on the Leach Hwy, near the Tonkin Hwy northbound off ramp, in Cloverdale at 2am on Monday.
When police arrived at the scene they found the vehicle fully alight.

“The Department of Fire and Emergency Services attended the scene a short time later and extinguished the blaze,” WA police said.
The driver died at the scene.
They are yet to be formally identified.
“Inquiries are continuing with the Major Crash Investigation Section,” police said.
