A man has died in hospital after he was struck by a car on a busy stretch of road in south Perth.
First responders attended Canning Hwy near Gwenyfred Rd following reports a white Ford Falcon sedan had collided with a pedestrian about 8.45pm on Sunday.
The 84-year-old was taken to Royal Perth Hospital in a critical condition.

Police confirmed on Monday doctors were unable to save him.
The 33-year-old male driver of the Ford was uninjured.
The Major Crime team is investigating the incident and has appealed for anyone with information or vision of the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
