Pen gun designed to resemble a marker seized during police raid in Perth

A firearm disguised as a marker pen and a homemade machine gun have been seized in separate raids across Perth.

Police say the homemade operable pen gun had been manufactured to resemble an Artline marker and was found by authorities during a search of a home in Seville Grove, in the city’s southeast.

An electronic stun device, knuckle dusters, ammunition, drugs and cash were also seized by police who had executed a search warrant at the Brown Cres home about 8.50am on September 20.

A 25-year-old man, a nominee for the Gypsy Joker Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, is facing 11 charges.

Among them are five counts of prohibited drug possession, two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, and unlicensed possession of a firearm or ammunition.

The Seville Grove man will appear in Armadale Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Elsewhere detectives seized a homemade machine gun from an address in Bassendean, in Perth’s northeast, on Monday.

The weapon was shown off by authorities on Friday.

“Investigations including links to the Lone Wolf Outlaw Motorcycle Gang are ongoing,” WA Police said.

Meanwhile, four high-powered weapons are now in the hands of criminals after they were stolen from a Geraldton property on Wednesday.

The licensed firearms, including three rifles and a shotgun, were taken from a home on Faranda Rd sometime between 6.15am and 5.30pm.

Cash, ammunition, and two sets of car keys were also taken.
