A city-wide search is underway after a detainee at the Perth Watch House slipped past police, authorities say.
Ivan Patrick Ugle allegedly escaped custody on Sunday and has managed to elude authorities on Monday.

Police are yet to say how he got free.
Ugle, 43, is 182 cm tall with a solid build. He was wearing a white long-sleeve top and black track pants.
It is understood he is in the company of Eileen George.

Police have concerns for the 29-year-old because she is heavily pregnant.
7NEWS understands Ugle was last seen in Nollamara about 3pm.
Police say he should not be approached and any sightings should be reported to authorities.
