“Perth Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash,” authorities said.
Just an hour later, a teenager suffered serious injuries and had to be freed from a vehicle that rolled on the Great Southern Hwy in Woottating, about 70km east of the city.
Police said the yellow Hyundai Accent hatch, the only vehicle involved in the incident, left the road before hitting a tree and flipping.
Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel rushed to the scene to cut the 18-year-old from the vehicle.
Ambulances rushed to the scene and a rescue helicopter was sent to airlift him to RPH.
